As an individual, he is strong in type, quality and presence. His head is short with beautifully chiseled dryness. His eyes are huge and black, ears small and tipped, with large, wind drinking nostrils. The skin of Shahraf is the blackest, black and carries no tendency for lightening or loss of pigment. His lengthily neck is beautifully shaped, flowing high into ample withers. His back is short, body smooth, hips deep, and excellent straight legs. Shahraf has lovely Arabian movement, carrying his tail high and straight. He is also very intelligent, and has one of the best temperaments of any horse I have encountered. He is truly a stallion of enviable characteristics. Having now produced numerous foals from a wide variety of mares, I can say with true conviction that he has improved every mare to which he has been bred, while allowing the best qualities of both sire and dam to come through. We have seen that he consistently shortens backs and heads, gives size and movement, fixes legs, increases width between the eyes, and passes on a beautiful large, dark eye. Eyes are large and black, and their skin pigment is the deepest black with no known tendencies for fading. His foals are balanced in body and mind, being easy learners with excellent temperaments.
